</span>on the first book, but how far is the project after 2020?</h3>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Another year has passed and what a year
it has been. 2020 started like many other years with the flag raised
high and the hope of a book kept going. The end of 2019 brought with
it the completion of the writing work on Elias the high-speed train
and the work of correcting and adapting this continued into 2020. But
a Virus had to interfere, and with that I was sent home for a month,
which however did not prevent a lot of progress.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">In addition attending to my education
as well as possible, I also saw my chance to get some work done on my
projects. In addition to the fact that I had previously completely
edited Elias and the high-speed train in March 2020. After this, a
collaboration started with a number of volunteer test readers who as
some of the first got an insight into the new book that TDRS has been
working on since the first edition of the book was withdrawn in 2014.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">A work that is expected to be completed
in the first quarter of 2021, after which the last of the story about
Dagmar is expected to be written. At the same time, work to
illustrate Elias and the highs-speed train is expected to start, a
work that is expected to be completed by the end of 2022/23.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">In addition, 2020 has proven to be a
year full of challenges. Besides a year full of restrictions, several
things were going on. Thanks to the extra hours available during the
lockdown in March, the drawings for the project "portrait of a
danish locomotive" were drawn and made ready for colors,
something they did not get in 2020.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</p>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqSFkEAScDWh7uC0C1zw2sFy0NRI3WuW_VIfjNCFUB26Fqh3G4UmASxRG00Pv2yWIwNSMs82-vA1w5SEsHZ8_-XZFKmnu7N1Gu_CpER5Ztsg7bdEWAD9-q0q26vHvO3yjsZElbnWTbAAk/s2048/IMG_8880+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1365" data-original-width="2048" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqSFkEAScDWh7uC0C1zw2sFy0NRI3WuW_VIfjNCFUB26Fqh3G4UmASxRG00Pv2yWIwNSMs82-vA1w5SEsHZ8_-XZFKmnu7N1Gu_CpER5Ztsg7bdEWAD9-q0q26vHvO3yjsZElbnWTbAAk/s320/IMG_8880+copy.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">It was the year where there should have
been many events, but everything was canceled. However, other things
continued under the new restrictions, such as the danish state
railways' EA-class from 1984, which in 2020 were taken out of
service, after which they were replaced by 3 new Vectron locomotives,
which DSB received from Siemens, out of a series on what is to become
42 locomotives.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">But there was also time for other
things. Due to the closed borders, the holiday had to take place at
home this year, and thanks to the government's subsidy for travel
passports (special tickets giving unlimited travel for 8 days), a lot
of wishes suddenly became possible, which among other things ended in
a reunion with Lemvigbanen, which was visited in 2018. A visit to
North Zealand to look at regiosprinters and a trip to Gedser to see
the railway museum there. Before the visit to Gedser, however, I had
been to Struer to see their railway museum there.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">After my visit, I was completely amazed
at how much the museum had to offer, and it was perhaps not
surprising that this year's Christmas greeting/present was given to
them.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">But not everything went according to
plan in 2020. Just as the work progressed on a lot of projects during
the fall the computer broke down and soon after my financial
situation got worse. When it will come up again is unknown, but the
plan is to try to get it up and running again around April. In the
meantime, the last work with editing on Elias and the high-speed
train will be completed, enabling me to start illustrating once it is
up and running again.
</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">2020 was a year that in many ways
started out well, but ended in some worse mess.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">With a new year having just begun, one
can only hope that it changes.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">From here, at least, a happy new year
and a happy 2021 to you all.</p>

2018 paved the way for
2019 with progress being made on the books, but how has 2019 differed
from the rest?</h4>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
2019 was in many ways a
rollercoaster for the series' author, but was none the less a year
where the books came a huge step closer to being completed.
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
Elias and the highspeed
train, which began in 2012, was beyond all expectations completed and
read through in 2019 and thereby the book came a step closer, as the
rest of th</div>
e work contains getting new eyes on the first draft,
followed by the translation to english, so that english readers also
can have a chance to discover the danish railway history.
<br />
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
The second book, The Story
Of Dagmar, is also well underway. This book has become somewhat
thicker than expected and certain parts may be left out of the
finished product during the last bit of writing and correction of the
book.
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br />
</div>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">The Djursland Railway Museum, Ryomgård</td></tr>

<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
2019 was also a year where
the author visited places around the country, or at least a good
portion of it. The light rail to Grenaa was opened and Father's day
was celebrated at the Danish railway museum in Odense, with to
My-class locomotives.
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
The summer holiday was
held near the light rail of Århus, and therefore the lines to
Lystrup, Grenaa</div>
and Odder was visited and well documented. On the
line to Grenaa the Djursland railway museum was visited and here the
author was so impressed, that they naturally became the subject of
2019s christmas present.
<br />
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
But both the cards and
presents were to be very delayed. Due to personal reasons, december
became a somewhat chaotic time for the author who fought against time
and therefore deliver the card, present and new years post in january
2020.
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
Despite the delay, i still
wish you all a great 2020 and let's hope the year will bring fewer
delays and enable me to reach my goal of bringing you all a
children's book....again!</div>

<div style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">Well firstly, the whole
story had to be rewritten as i didn't believe it delivered what i
wanted. It's taken its time and as we enter 2019 i think it's time
for an update. 2017 was in many years where a lot of the writing was
completed and in 2018 i attempted to complete a great deal of writing
too. </span>

<div style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">Status at the beginning of

<div style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">That being said, I still
plan to focus a lot more on writing in the new year. Of the same
reason a research process has started on other projects to ensure
that 2019 will be a year of progress! </span>

<div style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">2018 was in many ways a
year of many experiences. It started in Gedser on Falster, where I
got to see the progress on the H-class no. 783. The Railway museum of
Odense was moving rolling stock, which meant that I could see their
MZ-class in the beginning of 2018 twice hauling MO-class motorcars
and other stuff around. </span>
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">In June I was in Jutland

<h2>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Baby steps</span></h2>
<div>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">It hasn't been since the start of the year that there last was an update from the project, and therefore it is time for exactly that. With the summer fast approaching and by that the vacation, it is time to asses how much has been done by now.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">To tell the truth it isn't much. Both books are halfway but has been written on furiously at in different turns, but due to the exam period it has been decided to postpone the writing until after the last exam. </span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-weight: 400;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<b>How does the prospect look like for the release? </b><br />
<b><br /></b></div>
<div>
In the rate that the current writing work has been completed, things are looking promising and therefore its assumed that the writing work can be completed within the span of 2 years. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
In the meantime it has also been decided to change out the logo, to show the outside world that at least some sort of progress is taking place, if not only in baby steps. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
And with that TDRS signs of for the summer. I'll be looking forward to update you on the other side of July, and who knows? maybe you'll see a new article on the blog during the vacation? </div>

<h3>
<i>and plans for 2018</i></h3>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
2017 began as many others, with a wish to accomplish a goal within the next 365 days. The goal was to focus extra much on the writing and have as much as finished before the end of that year. </div>
<div>
With the new year ahead and the old behind me, it begs the question: did i reach my goal? </div>
<div>
In many ways yes. A total of 2 chapters where finished for <i>The Story Of Dagmar, </i>and a lot of work done on <i>Elias & The Highspeed train. </i>This means that i'm officially halfway done with the writing at this point. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Therefore my goal in 2018 is to write as much as possible so that the writing can be done by late 2018/early 2019. How long the following illustrations work will take to make, i don't know at this point.</div>
<div>
Speaking of illustrations, i've been spending some time in 2017 on a new artstyle. </div>
<div>
This new artstyle has proven to be extra detailed compared to the old one, and by experimenting further i've come up with a result that i can be satisfied with. </div>
<div>
All it all, 2017 was in many ways the year where many goals were reached. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
On the other projects of mine in 2017 there was a few where i didn't reach my goals. <i>Portrait of a Danish loco</i>'s first episode was due in the summer of 2017, but due to various reasons i didn't make it. I do however wish it to be possible to accomplish in 2018. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeLBtFtESuDvVyrHJTpInXeTg_s8An2CZu_6T47GeSrhqhbxFTyABNZhXE6sZTR4Hde3kYDjMM9IoGTkQfsEQqOSAdFkVdtHUCdHaD2cHMX9pbD4lilK1wrkfgswcMxo4FG1eiDkf4vQY/s1600/RHDR+116.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="806" data-original-width="1600" height="161" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeLBtFtESuDvVyrHJTpInXeTg_s8An2CZu_6T47GeSrhqhbxFTyABNZhXE6sZTR4Hde3kYDjMM9IoGTkQfsEQqOSAdFkVdtHUCdHaD2cHMX9pbD4lilK1wrkfgswcMxo4FG1eiDkf4vQY/s320/RHDR+116.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
A thing i've done for som time now, and which has proven to give joy to me and the reciever is gifts in the form of drawings. This year i made a portrait of two locomotives of the, Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway in southern England where the railway operates trains in 1/3 scale. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The railway thanked me with a formal letter and if you're lucky, you might see it if you visit the railway. </div>
<div>
I'm currently working on a gift for a railway back home, but who it's for you'll have to wait in order to find out. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Sadly the last half of 2017 meant that i was heavily delayed and even with this post feel like writing in the last minute. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I hope however, that 2018 will be the year of many accomplishments, both for this series and my series called <i>A year of trainspotting, </i>where i show of the pictures i've taken along the danish railways throughout the year. <br />
<br /></div>
<div>
With all that to look forward to and more, I wish you a happy new year and a happy 2018!</div>

<h3>
Apologies for a delayed update!</h3>
<div>
But non the less an update worth waiting for!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I want to firstly apologize for not having updated you guys sooner, as i've promised at the beginning of the year. On the other hand i feel like i've more to tell you now that i would have had earlier. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Fírst and foremost, progress is clearly seen on the writing of my books. <i>Elias and the highspeed train </i>is already over half way done, and <i>The story of Dagmar </i>is not that far behind. I truly hope to have the latter over halfway done before the end of the autumn. This will make do everything i can to finnish the last bit of writing in 2018 and then my goal for a full publish in 2019, might be more realistic than ever before!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Then there's my new art style. For the past weeks, i've been experimenting with a new art style, and the illustration on the top of the page, is the result of my experimenting. I truly love the result myself and i'm looking forward to implementing it on my illustrations for the books. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Furthermore, i've begun livestreaming again on my new facebook page: <a href="https://www.facebook.com/SJBMEDIAART/">SJB Media 1996 art</a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
With that, i'll be signing off again, i hope to be back before Christmas with more updates! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Kind regards</div>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Test illustration for <i>Elias and the highspeed train</i></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div>
As 2016 was a very quiet year on the blog (with only 3 posts) I thought i'd try and make up for it by posting more frequent updates on the books in 2017.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
We're only 2 months into the new year but already there's alot of progress. As of this moment another chapter has been finished, which narrows it down to 2 more chapters being needed for Elias and the highspeed train. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
As for the other book <i>The story of Dagmar, </i>Two chapters are coming along nicely, these were also worked on in 2016 but are expected to be finished this year, narrowing it down to three more chapters being needed for this one. . </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Other than that its pretty much the usual, drawings are progressing and as of this year something new, it's back in buisness for the series of SJB Media 1996: <i>A year of trainspotting</i>. At the moment the 2015 and 2016 editions are being worked on and is expected to release during march.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
And with this first update i wish you all a nice year! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Regards.</div>

<h2>
Farewell to project 2016</h2>
<h3>
- and other plans for the future. </h3>
<div>
The year 2016 started out with alot of hopes and dreams for the 2014 started project, project 2016. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Unfortunately the year proved difficult with alot of challenges, which resulted in the cancelling of project 2016. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
But even though this project was cancelled, alot of other succeeded. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKsGqP8xXHsLSlMOLengp3vPfsByslXlL26Z6OJ2fxEdKMw4rPaAqBIDoYeGj-zdzeyP9DDgLGxDRXqvdGhKjqxHglg76oStRRTChk9PFxZUmg_NWi3O6MDTkoVN_z8SAkcwCbwAlpKqs/s1600/dbj+poster.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="226" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKsGqP8xXHsLSlMOLengp3vPfsByslXlL26Z6OJ2fxEdKMw4rPaAqBIDoYeGj-zdzeyP9DDgLGxDRXqvdGhKjqxHglg76oStRRTChk9PFxZUmg_NWi3O6MDTkoVN_z8SAkcwCbwAlpKqs/s320/dbj+poster.png" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="font-size: 12.8px; text-align: center;">Two posters which were made for the DBJ society</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div>
The year started with the continued collaboration with the DBJ society. In april two drawings were delivered at their museum during a visit by the <a href="http://sporvejsmuseet.dk/" target="_blank">SHS </a>.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
This collaboration between both parties has proven to bring much joy to both, and according to the society itself, one of the TDRS' drawings have been used on many of their lectures. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
A new thing was tried out in 2016 and that was "livestreams"where i could draw live and at the same time tell you updates on my projects. The first streams were in english but were later changed to danish streams on the facebook page.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Even though the amount of viewers have changed from stream to stream, it is my plan to do more streams in 2017. The idea for this being at least one stream per week or month. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Speaking og drawing earlier, much progress has been going on in the last year. Thanks to another year of practice it looks like 2017 is gonna be another great year full of art. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
On the writing side in 2016 however, writing has been in slow progress due to writers block, and mostly it was limited to a few pages written now and then. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
It was due to this reason that i halfway through the year, decided to cancel project 2016. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
It is due to this that i've decided that 2017 is gonna be focused around the writing. But making a book isn't exactly child's play, so lets wait and see if this will be possible in due time. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Because 2017 is going to be a busy year in many ways, besides having this series going on for its 5th year, another project "portrait of a danish loco" is due to publish its first episode focusing on the K-class locomotive of 1894. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
and last but not least, i'd like to wish you all a happy new year! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
regards. </div>

As you can see the first artwork is starting to appear, however for the time being its only commercial art.<br />
<br />
Meanwhile the writing is still going on at a steady pace, currently only in Danish. Translation will follow when the writing is complete and will then be sent on to the editor of the series.<br />
<br />
This work might take a while as we both have something to correct each time from each others edits. But whatever duration the books will be out within the next year or so. All the effort in making these is being put in as much as possible.<br />
<br />
The deadline for project 2016 is still uncertain if it will succeed but right till the last second will i try to complete it in time. Not easy when you have to produce a book in two languages!<br />
<br />
until next time!<br />

<div>
I must start by apologizing that I have not updated this site so much since new year. The reason is that I have been busy working on my drawings and especially the work of writing everything needed to write the books before I can publish them.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
As for what I've drawn it virtually to both of my project 2016 books.</div>
<div>

<div>
But the work has so far not been problem-free, since I have a bit of writing blockade and generally found it a little difficult to keep the work going.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
But despite the problems, things are moving ahead slowly and I still hope to be able to publish here in 2016, but it becomes harder and harder to believe when the work list gets longer and longer with things like research, the drawings as well as text to be written.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
But even if I do not have time to get my books out this year then there's still some of the drawings that will go into a printed book. The book will be titled "a year of trainspotting 2015" and will mostly consist of pictures but will also contain 5 illustrations!</div>

<span style="font-size: 26pt;"><u><b>Farewel
2015, Hello 2016!</b></u></span></h2>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
We're saying farewell to 2015
and what a year its been!
</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
A year which seemed at first to
be like any other for the project, namely with me the author, being
so sure that this would be the year where I would launch the danish
railway series with the publish of the first two books. However
instead of continuing like the previous years with a short term plan
I decided to go for a longer term plan.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSgf09txNsqD7FlsHABEgAjxbDFR7UOdaz8OWJRFRC7oH9CsgmOdm-hCzHQMGFdv-JChCTATr4nF09wnGBQUxHsPXvHbLlEiHkuq1aPCU0AQbzrl2JcI59kUaMVUJoNTWfoIEC3KfYJCY/s1600/10371468_830686866951403_2367990063634203159_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="224" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSgf09txNsqD7FlsHABEgAjxbDFR7UOdaz8OWJRFRC7oH9CsgmOdm-hCzHQMGFdv-JChCTATr4nF09wnGBQUxHsPXvHbLlEiHkuq1aPCU0AQbzrl2JcI59kUaMVUJoNTWfoIEC3KfYJCY/s320/10371468_830686866951403_2367990063634203159_n.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
It was because of this that
project 2016 was created. The project was different by the fact it
had a date and a detailed plan for the goals needed before the acutal
publish of what i'd like to refer to as: “a new era for the danish
railway series”.</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
Because ever since my first book
was cancelled in 2015, the project have been somewhat “bookless”
in the way that it was on standby, while i've been trying to find out
which way to go with my project.
</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
The choice was to keep on
working on the historic, while trying to keep the adventurous feeling
about it to catch the interest amongst younger readers.
</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
This
resulted in that the two books choosen for project 2016, began to
move in different directions. While the 3rd
attempt of my first book of denmarks first highspeed train began to
sound like something for the older children, the other book (the
story of dagmar) began to move towards the younger children, namely
the pre-teen group.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrIG3oAySVvck-lmjA0_Nq_xhb3UgxsOSDdcnUfCAOCLWDVFKn4NPw2Ix8PV2xcTJ4NZE-gkWZ3W5pYFOJRXmHXOpR2QSD5cEybxQNSVmUf6fUTIj90EMWgv0WPYJ1gJXmuDoKRillX4U/s1600/Dagmar+julekort+2015+med+mogens.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrIG3oAySVvck-lmjA0_Nq_xhb3UgxsOSDdcnUfCAOCLWDVFKn4NPw2Ix8PV2xcTJ4NZE-gkWZ3W5pYFOJRXmHXOpR2QSD5cEybxQNSVmUf6fUTIj90EMWgv0WPYJ1gJXmuDoKRillX4U/s320/Dagmar+julekort+2015+med+mogens.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
And speaking of “the story of
Dagmar”, the collaboration between project D 825 and The danish
railway series is still very much alive. As recent as this december a
gift was sent to Aalborg and very much welcomed by the project leader
and the rest of the project.
</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
But Project D 825 isn't the only
one to receive a gift from the TDRS. The Bornholm based railway
project, the DBJ society have also been given something from the
project. On a Bornholm themed christmas market on Zealand, I
presented a special drawing to the members of the society and the
foreman was so happy that I was given a free book!</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">the author with the foreman of the DBJ</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br /></div>
With
this happiness that my project's gifts brings, it has moved my
projects towards different ways of supporting and also spreading the
danish railway history.
<br />
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
Cause 2015 was also a year which
stood in the sign of progress, namely the art!
</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
Though in early 2015 there
wasn't much to come after. Illustrations of the project was something
to celebrate and facebook audience didn't seem to like it very much.
</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2JTYzKMOCX11cPzNdAcS8tDKGT8ZpkfYPv6hXru-T7tnLFsBAYjldUOGr16CI-K90mclwjtZK1UFT_0IH8nmqFtB_XCRNvb5rOf2MffuP_NQa8CUg6JfTUB8U7fHJ7A3PEgyDgLAxmJ8/s1600/a+year.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2JTYzKMOCX11cPzNdAcS8tDKGT8ZpkfYPv6hXru-T7tnLFsBAYjldUOGr16CI-K90mclwjtZK1UFT_0IH8nmqFtB_XCRNvb5rOf2MffuP_NQa8CUg6JfTUB8U7fHJ7A3PEgyDgLAxmJ8/s320/a+year.jpg" width="320" /></a>Therefore I needed to come up
with a new plan and fast. Then as a stroke of luck, my art tools
(tablet/drawing pad) began working again and before long I was
working fulltime to catch up on my skills!
</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
From drawings that had no appeal
what so ever, to end up with drawings that really was something to
show to the world; was something that I hope not only I but the
current and coming audience of the danish railway series will enjoy.
</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
For now lets face forward, for
the times ahead.
</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
Will 2016 be the year of our
first books?
</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
For now I have no idea, but rest
asured that I will work hard as much as I can. So that I can proudly
present to books in december!</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm;">
What's left now is only to ask
you all a happy new year and hoping to see you all for more news this
year.

</tbody></table>
I'm so sorry you guys, i've not been online enough to keep you foreigners up-to-date!<br />
<br />
With that said i better take the chance to do so. Lately alot of things have been going on with my project and i've finally been able to get some of the equipment that i've been needing the last years and which i havent been able to fund.<br />
<br />
But now i have it and with the right softwares downloaded i might just be able to secure the dates for project 2016.<br />
<br />
On other news i've been producing some artwork for heritage societies and the first in a long line is now complete. Its a print for the Bornholm railway society which are trying hard to recreate a lost piece of railway, between Balka and Nexø on the island of Bornholm.<br />
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg11jLOWpTM0kG5osTIwvx_f-jZE2klgLhxQZwMVyYEF6CqzF5Xq5qUsPNQWs7EU2SdCR-jY4nRQ-DkX4MK3se9J20zUy-toTvURhfwv61ovYfZU3rA1gQvDch7YeJXG_OZzViFvzDDKAw/s1600/IMG_4795.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg11jLOWpTM0kG5osTIwvx_f-jZE2klgLhxQZwMVyYEF6CqzF5Xq5qUsPNQWs7EU2SdCR-jY4nRQ-DkX4MK3se9J20zUy-toTvURhfwv61ovYfZU3rA1gQvDch7YeJXG_OZzViFvzDDKAw/s320/IMG_4795.JPG" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">the print in its frame on the table at the DBJ stand.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
Because of this i tried to imagine how Balka would look as a modern heritage railway station and illustrated this for the society, however it was meant to be a gift so i kept it a secret until the day i could hand it over!<br />
<br />
I saw the chance to hand it over at the annual christmas market on the Bornholm ferry in Koge on zealand, where people from all over Bornholm comes to show their work and products, including the DBJ society. As always the foreman was there with two other members to sell merchandise and because of a tv appearance earlier this year, he was quick to recognize me.<br />
<br />
We chatted for a duration before i showed him the print and handed it over to him, as i did so a broad smile formed on his face. I told him all the ideas i had imagined for the railway and he agreed to my ideas and told me the general plan and actually requested if the society could use it for own use, and of course they could that!<br />
<br />
We continued talking about my print and the railways and he was more than happy to hear that i actually wanted to do more artwork for them and illustrating the railway they are fighting so hard to get up and running. We arranged to have further contact carried by email and he also told me that he would send me some PDF files they'd made when they were planning the early stages of the railway.<br />
<br />
Oh and i almost forgot, he was so happy for the print that he gave me one of the books they had on sale, and told he considered it a fair traide!<br />
<br />
and after a very good talk i've returned home with a pile of great ideas and alot of inspiration for this coming collaboration.<br />
<br />
With all that i hope to have more to tell you soon, these are indeed exciting times!<br />

<div>
Alot of things are happening right for the TDRS. During writing a lot of new faces appear and new characters are formed. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Hawthorn however, is NOT one of those. I first thought of him in 2013 when i was having thoughts about a book telling random tales from the very early times of railways in Denmark. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMq3vquYdxpBnw0Vn2ehHx2FcwGjhFbJFV3Xnf-VgxVWgXB_IffPYhbCP2glMgzuVRV23BsfYgWkwHo-gdEK5N760pB-CWDQ9mlDe2ed8FxfmOrZn9QXFONZ2Yht233KIvSA6Q2WyTP2Y/s1600/11923198_1189376747744450_8790835446369557197_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="256" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMq3vquYdxpBnw0Vn2ehHx2FcwGjhFbJFV3Xnf-VgxVWgXB_IffPYhbCP2glMgzuVRV23BsfYgWkwHo-gdEK5N760pB-CWDQ9mlDe2ed8FxfmOrZn9QXFONZ2Yht233KIvSA6Q2WyTP2Y/s320/11923198_1189376747744450_8790835446369557197_n.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
The idea was to tell the story of how he and his siblings was rebuilt from tender engines to shunters in the early 1900's. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
This idea of course havent changed but introducing him to the series this early on is! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
But exactly how and when i'd still like to keep secret (hehe).</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
All i can say is: he's gonna be a very interesting part of the story. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
And thats all folks! see you soon!</div>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">The new TDRS logo in all its glory.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div>
As you can see, the previously mentioned logo is now complete, or actually its some time ago but i forgot to tell you guys. That thing about having two blogs running in each their language isn't easy you know.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Even so i'll try to get you more up to date! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
After the logo was complete, work on a series of snippets was put into action. These were to serve as test so that i could practice before jumping into any official book work.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
One test was Elias and the highspeed train which i'm gonna redo now that i've practiced with another book.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6drTcsz6c4mE2JoDWb6AQIwa7p87TWy2HAksJmnvXwGYI7uqYzl5D9cG_lN89m_fBlAuqQkqWyccU4wYUuGqcd7YFATMS-845NVl3f5nXqWlho838L9qUy-2003O7lb2Gg7zDXvE8Pi4/s1600/dagnar.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6drTcsz6c4mE2JoDWb6AQIwa7p87TWy2HAksJmnvXwGYI7uqYzl5D9cG_lN89m_fBlAuqQkqWyccU4wYUuGqcd7YFATMS-845NVl3f5nXqWlho838L9qUy-2003O7lb2Gg7zDXvE8Pi4/s320/dagnar.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
The "other book" is of course <i>The story of Dagmar</i> which is due to arrive together with the Elias book in 2016. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
With the Dagmar snippet i had the chance to try out some new techniques which actually are improving my art, to a state that i'm getting impressed. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
And i hope you'll be too the day when i finnish off my books.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Meanwhile you can always follow the progress on this blog, well between the times that i actually remember to put something up here! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Thats all i had for now, i'll be back at some point with more news when there's more to tell :) </div>

<i>Not much.</i>.<br />
But still a few things to report none the less. The english translations are slowly moving forward. As of this moment i'm still working on the 2nd draft of the first chapter in <i>The story of Dagmar.</i><br />
<br />
Meanwhile, as my art is begining to improve, i thought it was time to refresh the "image" of my series. This being done by first, renewing the logo.<br />
<br />
As F 477 was one of the first engines to be introduced to the danish railway series, its still gonna be in the new logo. However this time it'll be joined by "Odin" (denmarks first steam engine) and the red highspeed train from 1935. Both to illustrate some important moments in danish railway history!<br />
<br />
<br />
So thats all for this time chaps, i'm gonna keep you all up-to-date on whats happening :) cause i'll do my best to have some books out next year, and if i have to say so myself: <i>My recent improvement on the art makes the books something to look forward to, EVEN FOR ME!</i><br />
<i><br /></i>
Anyway, stay safe out there and enjoy the weekend.<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">A test illustration for the book "<i>The Story Of Dagmar"</i></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
Though there's not much to say about the books at the moment, alot is actually going on. For example ive got my tablet to work again resulting in a test in a diffrent art software that i had lying around on my macbook. The end result was very surprising and a promising factor to the times ahead.<br />
<br />
The illustration is a test, for a final illustrations that i will make later on when the final draft of the mentioned book is being worked on.<br />
<br />
Speaking of draft, the first draft of the translated first chapter of the book has been returned to the author from the TDRS editor and is now being read through as new changes will be made, before sending the text back to the editor again. It is my sole wish that i can push as much history into the book as possible but still keeping it a fun and educating book.<br />
<br />
There's alot of danish railway history to be put into this one and what i can reveal is that Dagmar will tell a little resumé of the beginning of railways and how they came to Denmark and the impact they made on the population.<br />
<br />
<br />
I'm trying the best i can to keep the to versions of the TDRS, the danish and english leveled, but working on two languages at the same time is somewhat difficult. Very difficult actually.<br />
<br />
I know that both versions will have the same story, just told in a way that fit the certain language used in each version, though danish words will be added to the english version in order to teach children about the original danish term for diffrent things.<br />
<br />
Updates on the second book in project 2016, <i>Elias & the highspeed train, </i>is still in the works and undergoing some much needed writing. But so far no illustrationtest are being carried out, but are to be carried out later this year and before the planned start of the "official" final illustrations, that are to appear in the The Danish Railway Series books.<br />
<br />
Anyway this is all i had for now, more news later!<br />
sincerely<br />

<br /></h2>
<h2>
<span style="font-size: x-large;">Project 2016 is GO!</span></h2>
<div>
Now for the careful reader, some might say: "dont you mean 2015?" and the answer to that will be no. The reason why i call this post "Project 2016" is because i've hit a point in my work where i like what and i draw and what i write. On top of that i've collected some excellent friends to help correcting my english in the books.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
When talking about the artwork i have two examples to show you, the one is a frontcover illustration the other is a back cover:</div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="text-align: right;">Now as you can see, the artwork is starting to look better than it has ever done before. This is the result of hard work which started back in 2012. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="text-align: right;"><br /></span></div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
What is the plan for 2016?</h3>
<div>
The plan for 2016 is having one or two books out in December on the 22nd. However priority is with the danish edition but i'll try the best i can to have the english translation run parallel to the other. Should i manage doing that it'll be a double language publish that year. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Until i have more news, this is what i can tell you so far. The books have never been this close!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Until then, take care!</div>

first off i'd like to say sorry for not keeping this website updated all the time. I'm doing my best but as it is there is much going on around education and such. However i'm progressing in terms of the artwork on the books, so far book 2's front cover illustation is progressing smoothly and so is the one for the book about the D-class dagmar. Examples of both can be seen below. I hope to have more news soon.<br />
sincerely<br />

<br />
An idea of change in the histories has occurred and a major buch of rewriting has commenced. What this change means I will not reveal yet but so far I just want to let you know that work continues.<br />
<br />
regards<br />

<br />
the TDRS have long been aware that this project is to some extent similar to Thomas and friends (also know as the railway series) and it's something that the TDRS are extremely conscious of.<br />
<br />
Therefore, Book II and the subsequent re-release of Book I may result in "Fredrik" disappears from the title, this does not mean that he is not in the books merely that he has a different position regarding story telling.<br />
<br />
About wether the changes will occur is not known yet it must be planned first, but it does so that the work on the books is going to stand still for a while.<br />
hope to write more news for you soon!<br />
<br />
sincerely<br />
SebastianSepper707http://www.blogger.com/profile/08844176030362849276noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6617795770024614054.post-63212071619165421922014-07-13T17:15:00.001-07:002014-07-13T17:15:58.298-07:00a small delay :/During the work for book 2, i've switched layout software (InDesign) and decided to use the opportunity to rewrite some of my stories that i've lately have found either historically incorrect or not satisfied with the way i wrote them in the first place. The rewrite is expected to delay the project a bit, that and the fact that i'm not gonna be able to start with the illustrations before the layout is done, so i don't expect the book to be published before december 2014 or january 2015. I'm sorry for anyone who would have hoped the book would be published sooner.<br />
<br />
Sincerely<br />
